BBQ chicken wings

1 kg chicken wings

5 tbsp sunflower oil

1 tbsp salt

80 g ketchup (catsup)

6 tbsp honey

2 lemons, juiced

1-2 tbsp soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, chopped

1 pinch hot paprika 


Preheat the oven to 180 C

Wash the chicken wings, pat dry and set aside.

Mix all other ingredients in a large bowl, add the chicken wings, coat well and marinade for 1 hour.

Transfer the chicken wings to a deep baking pan and put into the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Increase the oven temperature to 200 C and cook for a further 10 minutes or until done, brushing one more with the marinade during this time.
